ABOUT US

Cherokee Redemptive Ministries Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry that ministers to the spiritual, physical and material needs of the Native American people. The ministry focus at this time is primarily on children and senior citizens. As opportunities arise, it will include other age groups. Our area of ministry is the Cherokee Reservation in Cherokee, N.C. The ministry is governed by a board of directors and is an all volunteer ministry. No monetary compensation is paid to anyone involved in the ministry. Therefore, 100% of all donations that the ministry receives go to the Lord’s work. All donations given to the ministry are tax deductible.

We believe that as Native American people, we do not have to give up our Native culture and heritage in order to become Christians and serve our Creator. We believe that all things that the Creator made are good. We do not worship trees, rivers, animals or anything else that He made. We worship only the Creator and His son Jesus. We worship the Creator and not His creation. We respect all life and believe that all life is sacred because it was given by the Creator. We strive to incorporate into our worship those parts of our culture and heritage that will bring glory to Creator. We use our native drums, rattles and flutes in our worship. We want to bring glory to the Creator in everything that we do.
